UK - National Flood Forum Download as iCal file

With an election looming and the Flood and Water Management Bill going through parliament and scale of the Cumbrian flood the political profile of flooding and the plight of victims has never been higher. This important conference is being supported by the Government and the main political parties; The Minister taking the F&WM Bill through Huw Irranca Davies is speaking on behalf of the Government, Anne McIntosh for the Conservatives and Martin Horwood for the Liberals. The Chairman of the Environment Agency – Chris Smith – is also giving a keynote speech.

The aim of this conference is to provide a unique platform for those who are at risk of being flooded to meet, share experience and best practice with professionals from the flood risk management sector. It will also explore how politicians will respond to their plans for effective flood management for the future.
