The AMESD Forum aims at:

• allowing AMESD to maximize the use of existing experience and capacities to reach its objective
• helping to link policies and activities at the regional and national levels and raising awareness of the programme’s outcomes for an efficient exploitation of the expected results and ensuring sustainability.

The objective of this 1st AMESD Forum is to put in place the necessary and adequate networks within Africa and between international and African institutions for the effective development of the use of Earth observation data for a better management and monitoring of the African environment.
The 1st AMESD Forum is open to all participants interested in the use of Earth observation for the environment in Africa (AMESD stakeholders, users, data and product providers, software and hardware providers, UN institutions, public and private entities, intergovernmental organisations, non-governmental organisations, research institutes and universities, etc.).
