ABC SCIENCE - Tectonic plate collisions were in part responsible for
bursts of marine biodiversity across the planet over the past 50
million years, say an international team of marine scientists. And they say the next global hotspot, in 25 million years or so, is likely to be off southern or eastern Australia.
