Vattenfall Targets Further Five Wind Farms in Scotland by 2012

SCOTSMAN - Vattenfall, Europe's fifth largest energy group, wants to have a further five onshore wind farms operating in Scotland within the next three years as part of its plans to become "climate-neutral" by 2050. The Swedish company's strategy includes using a mixture of renewable energy – from wind and wave sources – alongside nuclear power and "clean" coal and gas-fired power stations, fitted with carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology, to reach its target.
