New Green Idea Builds Solar-powered Greenhouses on Fallow Land

TAIWAN NEWS -  Noting that there are around 200,000 hectares of fallow land around Taiwan, the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) minister suggested yesterday that building "photonics greenhouses" on such land as part of efforts to promote the development of renewable energy would be a good policy. Such facilities can not only use solar energy to generate power but can also be used to raise valuable cash crops such as orchids, said Stephen Shu-hung Shen in an interview with CNA. Read More
