Germany Proposes 15% Cut in Solar Subsidies

NEW EUROPE - German Environment Minister Norbert Roettgen said he aims to cut solar-power subsidies by 15%, less than sought by other government members. “We’ll still have an expansion of the solar industry, but with better costs,” Roettgen said at an energy conference in Berlin on 20 January. “By 2013, solar energy could be the same price as conventional electricity.” Read More
