THE HINDU -- The Mines Ministry is in the process of buying a Rs 450-crore deep-sea research vessel for seabed mapping of unexplored minerals.There is potential for exploration of minerals like gold, diamond, nickle, lead and copper, but currently the industry's focus is on iron ore given the boom in steel industry.
