RapidEye, owner and operator of a constellation of five identical Earth Observation satellites, announced today that more than 6.5 Million square kilometers of its satellite imagery taken over North and South America is now  available on the RapidEye Geodata Kiosk. Illinois, Ohio, and Tennessee residents and businesses can now simply type in an address to find out which companies provide broadband service in their area. All three states have posted online maps that allow Web site visitors to use BroadbandStat, an application based on ESRI geographic information system (GIS) technology, to enter any address in the state and retrieve a list of Internet providers that serve that location.
