Torrance County, NM Selects Sidwell's Parcel Builder Software

In an effort to streamline their land records workflow in the Assessor’s Office, Torrance County, New Mexico has selected The Sidwell Company to provide a license of their Parcel Builder™ software suite.  The County has been researching options that will allow the automatic generation of UPC (parcel ID) numbers and association to their GIS.  In addition to the automatic generation of UPC numbers, the Administrator™ module of Parcel Builder will also allow for synchronization of these numbers between their GIS and CAMA (Computer Aided Mass Appraisal) databases, ensuring accuracy and reduced duplication of efforts throughout the office. Parcel Builder leverages the latest technology within ESRI and the geodatabase to streamline the tasks related to land records management and workflows. As the County manages property splits and their parcel number history, the Genealogy extension to Administrator will allow them to track the complex “parent-child” relationship between parcels and associate related documents and images with each parcel or transaction. The MapEditor™ module within Parcel Builder will provide the County with a complete toolkit to efficiently create and maintain the data within their geodatabase, while MapPlotter™ will allow the County to serve the high quality cadastral maps in hard copy form to users across their enterprise and in the community at large.

Torrance County also purchased Parcel Builder-Bridge™ and the Parcel Builder-CAMA Plug-in, which will ensure their ability to synchronize their maintenance efforts.  Additionally, Sidwell will provide the county with software maintenance, installation, and customized training that focuses on the use of the software.
