PR -- The year 2008 marks an important crossroads in the development and use of HAZUS-MH.  New technology — including the Comprehensive Data Management System (CDMS) and Web-based portals — has been rolled out in 2008.  Innovative approaches to training and outreach are now being offered to an expanding audience.  And HAZUS-MH is playing a more prominent role in state and local mitigation planning than ever before.  The 2008 HAZUS Users Conference will build on the resounding success of last year’s event to bring together a diverse group of emergency management and GIS professionals from all levels of government, academia and the private sector in order to share information and experience in the use of HAZUS-MH.  The 2008 conference has something for everyone, with scheduled topics that include:
