SmartGeometry 2009 – Save the Date

PR - The SmartGeometry group and Bentley Systems are pleased to announce that SmartGeometry 2009 will take place March 25–April 1 in San Francisco, California. Please join us at this highly informative and thought-provoking event to learn about advanced computational and parametric design from leading industry experts. Presentations will focus on design, technology, and methodology. Conference events will include:
   
GenerativeComponents Training Class, March 25–26:
Participants will learn about, or improve their skills in the use of, GenerativeComponents, Bentley’s innovative generative design software. This training is open to workshop participants as well as others interested in the use of GenerativeComponents.
 
SmartGeometry Workshop, March 27 – 30:
The workshop will provide four days of hands-on advanced design exploration with tutors drawn from the design and research communities. The session projects will be drawn from the design ideas submitted by each workshop participant. Participation is by invitation only. Those wishing to be considered will need to submit an application to the Board of the SmartGeometry Group. A small number of selected workshop attendees will be given the opportunity to take part in a Master Class during the March 31, with a co-presenting role at the Conference Day on April 1.
 
SmartGeometry Alumni Summit, March 31:
The Alumni Summit will enable attendees to see what participants in past SmartGeometry conferences are currently achieving in practice. This full-day agenda will offer attendees an opportunity to learn from best practices and innovative applications of these advanced technology approaches, as well as to network with their peers. The event is open to all workshop and conference attendees.

SmartGeometry Conference Day, April 1:
The Conference Day features a full day of presentations and discussions dedicated to advances in computational and parametric design. Sessions will highlight the results from this year’s workshop as well as the latest developments in innovative design tools, technologies, and methodologies – as presented by industry experts and directors of SmartGeometry. The Conference Day is open to all who share an interest in the theory and practice of generative design.
 
SmartGeometry Reception, April 1:
The Reception is an informal social event celebrating the innovation, creativity, and leadership that this community brings to the building design professions. Attendees enjoy food, drinks, and entertainment in a relaxed yet stimulating environment conducive to networking and discussion. The Reception is open to all who share an interest in the theory and practice of generative design.
