Trade lanes are shifting and the mining landscape across Africa is
growing rapidly, surpassing all expectations projected by many both on
a local and international scale. Political stability is emerging at a
time when the global demand for mineral resources is growing strongly
on the back of a seemingly insatiable raw-materials appetite from the
East.
There is however a great amount of work being required in the mining
sector across the continent and at the moment many solutions are being
sought to alleviate the challenges facing the mining industry. From
attracting local investment and developing local suppliers to enhancing
community and skills development initiatives, the mining sector in
Africa has the potential to become the mining hub of the world if these
challenges can soon be alleviated. .
In a bid to address these current challenges, IQPC presents to you SUSTAINABLE MINING AFRICA.
This event will provide you with the answers you need at this critical
time. The conference will deliver a number of insightful case studies
from a range of thought leaders operating in Africa on how to address
the issues of developing local content in the supply chain, enhancing
corporate social responsibility, improving sustainable development of
the community and attracting foreign investment.
