COMPRAIL
2008 is the 11th International Conference in this well established
series on Computer Aided Design, Manufacture and Operation in the
Railway and Other Advanced Mass Transit Systems.
The
Conference aims to update the use of computer-based techniques,
promoting their general awareness throughout the business management,
design, manufacture and operation of railways and other advanced
passenger, freight and transit systems. The meeting provides a forum
for engineers, planners, designers, manufacturers and operators, to
discuss how they can benefit from the latest developments. It will also
provide a forum for transit and rail operators.
The
proceedings of all the COMPRAIL conferences have been published to the
highest standards in hard cover, in time for the meeting, and are
distributed throughout the world immediately after the conference has
taken place.
Previous
meetings have been held in Frankfurt (1987); Rome (1990); Washington DC
(1992); Madrid (1994); Berlin (1996); Lisbon (1998); Bologna (2000);
Lemnos, Greece (2002); Dresden (2004) and Prague (2006).
