| GITA's GIS Conference Emphasizes Involvement |
The Geospatial Information Technology Association's 2009 Geospatial
Infrastructure Solutions (GIS) Conference took place April 19-22 in
Tampa, Florida. The event aimed to involve members early and often,
with a 'design your own program' appeal to members during the planning
stages, followed by the interactive discussions, and an emphasis during
the general sessions on the benefits of becoming involved. |
| Smart Moves in San Francisco - SmartGeometry 2009 |
SmartGeometry 2009 was held in San Francisco, California during March
27 - April 1. It included a workshop, a
public Alumni Summit and a public Conference and Reception. An audience
of students and professionals from around the world attended this
year's event. Focusing upon intelligent computational design,
SmartGeometry 2009 is an opportunity to learn, share and showcase the
emerging practice of digital parametrics within the AEC community using
Bentley GenerativeComponents (GC). Architect and columnist Don Chong
attended the event and reports on what he saw and learned. |
