GLOBAL TIMES -  The Minister for Resources and Energy of Australia, Martin Ferguson has welcomed the announcement of the first grants under the Australian Solar Institute's competitive solar energy grants program, according to local media on Friday. The Australian Solar Institute (ASI) announced on Thursday five grants, totaling 11.1 million dollars (9.87 million US dollars) for innovative solar research and development projects.
