3Tier Expands Renewable Energy Mapping

The Seattle-based renewable energy mapping company 3Tier has recently expanded the coverage of their FirstLook wind and solar mapping portal. Users now have access to average wind speed ranges throughout the world, with advanced reports with more in-depth analysis (including annual, monthly, daily and hourly wind speed patterns) for all of the United States, Canada and Mexico. The solar resource assessment includes the global horizontal irradiance, direct radiation and diffuse radiation. The more advanced product is called FullView, and there’s a PowerSight product for custom forecasting. 3Tier also offers a GIS layer of the annual mean windspeed for anywhere in the world.
