Australia’s Department of Environment has launched an online Renewable Energy Atlas. The Atlas includes calculations for wind, solar, geothermal, ocean energy and bio-energy for the entire country. Also included are energy infrastructure such as power lines, power plants, roads, and land tenure. There are also calculations about the impact of climate change.
The Atlas supports the Australian government’s aggressive renewable energy target of sourcing at least 20 percent of the nation’s electricity from renewable energy by 2020. The Atlas is being used by investors to prioritize projects, with anticipation that the Federal Government will make some infrastructure investments to get things going.

This is work which needs to be Congratulated!
I don’t mean particularly for the statistics involved but any publication on renewables will further open the eyes of both professionals and the public in general.
