I’m in San Francisco for the next two days covering Autodesk World Press Days. Autodesk has brought together more than 150 journalists that cover CAD, architecture, engineering, media, entertainment and geospatial from around the globe for this event. I expect a complete immersion in all things Autodesk.
An announcement this morning highlights the latest enhancements to AutoCAD Map 3D 2009, Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise 2009 and AutoCAD Raster Design 2009. I’ll be delving into these capabilities later today.
I’m also eager to hear how Autodesk customers have leveraged their tools to make strides on efficiency. Last year’s event had a impressive number of customer stories, including a discussion of how Autodesk tools helped the design of the Tesla electric sports car.
I’ll be meeting with Autodesk Labs, geospatial, AEC and BIM experts, and will report any news in this space.
