Last night a new television station launched on the DISH Network featuring a live view of earth 24 hourse per day. The DISH Earth channel features a live camera feed from the DISH Network’s EchoStar 1 Satellite, offering a full earth view from 22,300 miles above the Earth in a geo-synchronous orbit at 110 degrees west longitude.
The video footage is also available from Space Services, Inc. (SSI) via a Give the World promotion that is designed as a way to gift a view of the world on a special day. The service packages a commemorative photo in a frame from a price range of $29.95 to $99.95.

Evidence that the Dish Network satellites are a lot more versatile than we know…
Not sure about buying your photos of the earth, but the station DISH Earth is awesome! TV can get exhausting, with all the commercials… and to view the earth as it shifts from morning to night, with the climatic changes being viewed as they happen, and have some classical music … really an inspiration! Wish I could share this with others! Truly leaves a person in “awe”… too bad the whole world cannot find a connectiveness, and unity, with the beautiful planet that we all share!
