GISer is Master of POOP

The acronym POOP stands for permissable object of postability, and has famously been part of Wired magazine’s monthly Return to Sender contest for the past nine years. The contest revolves around odd objects that are mailed without an envelope or box. In the December 2008 issue, the magazine identifies the contests most prolific contestant as Barry Wood, “a 50-year-old government GIS specialist from Vero Beach, Florida.” Wood won the contest twice, and confesses an obsession to sending POOP, having spent more than $4,000 in one year.
