Green Power Labs and Leonardo Energy are teaming to hold a webinar this Friday regarding methodology and software for high resolution solar mapping and monitoring. The team uses solar radiation data from the stationary GOES satellites combined with sophisticated geographic information systems models to produce solar energy maps for utility-scale development. The satellite data processing technology has been developed as a plug-in for ESRI ArcGIS software for solar microclimate characterization.
