Job Opening: Canada Excellence Research Chair (CERC) in Remote Sensing of the Arctic

There’s a position open at the Université Laval in Quebec, Canada for a Canada Excellence Research Chair in Remote Sensing. The chairholder will be awarded $10 million over seven years to conduct research in areas of strategic importance to Canada, and will be awarded full professor tenure and an attractive salary as well as considerable research resources. Interested parties are asked to develop a statement on how they would combine remote sensing and geospatial analysis to develop an innovative program on Arctic research. The deadline for applicants is Aug. 31, 2009, with the job commencing July 1, 2010.
