The Federal Election Commission launched an online mapping tool this week to help the public understand where congressional candidates are receiving their money for the 2008 House and Senate elections. This new map accompanies the presidential campaign contributions map that was launched earlier this year.
The House and Senate Campaign Finance map is unique because it provide both fund-raising and spending data for candidates. It also contains much more detailed geography, with information for each congressional district.
