I’ve just posted a feature to V1 Magazine that outlines the research that the Woods Hole Research Center is conducting to quantify the carbon stock of the U.S. forests. This feature delves into the role of GIS to quantify the carbon flux between forests and the atmosphere. It’s encouraging to learn that there’s a large-scale and high-resolution effort toward understanding the North American carbon balance.
