Planet Beyond the Solar System?

Researchers have captured an image of possibly the first planet outside our solar system that orbits a star in the same way that our planet orbits the Sun. The image and research are reported in this week’s Science News. The discovery needs at least two years of astronomic observation to determine if it is indeed in orbit around the star. If orbit is confirmed, it would challenge current planetary evolution beliefs that young stars concentrate the potentially planet making mass very close to their core.
