One of the companies that I visited with at APA was Winston Associates. They use GIS and other tools to create realistic visualizations of planning scenarios. I enjoyed seeing the interesting new urbanism activities that the firm is involved in, and really liked the realism in their visualizations, down to moving people and cars.
