Information Week has a good overview of the “Send to GPS” capability that was announced today that allows users to send addresses from Google Maps to TomTom devices. It’s yet another means to extend the use of both the service and the device.
Network World speculates that this may mean there’s an alliance with Google that would give it a stake and more ready access to the TeleAtlas geospatial data. That’s a tempting thought as the geospatial data wars begin in earnest.
