Tim Berners-Lee, founder of the World Wide Web, was back at TED again this year to continue the rally cry for “raw data now,” but this time with a presentation of successes. In the video he chronicles primarily mapping mashups, showing how the open data can be mined for information. Be sure to watch the video for shout outs to many mapping sites, and a focus on the Haiti OSM mapping effort with nice audience appreciation. It’s an Ignite-style talk at only 5 minutes.
