In an interview with the Associated Press John Holdren, the president’s science adviser, discussed the possibility of several options to geoengineer the climate to reduce the threat of climate change. Holdren is exploring such options as shooting pollution particles into the upper atmosphere to reflect the sun or the creation of artificial trees to capture carbon. There’s no imminent use of such techniques, but many options are being looked at seriously as the threats from global warming increase.
