Utilities Shut Down By Hacker Attacks

A recent conference presentation by a CIA analyst indicates that hackers were able to shut down power through Internet attacks on several utilities in foreign cities. The goal of the attacks was extortion, and the attacks were entirely network-based rather than assaults on physical infrastructure.
