We Can Solve It

we can solve itThis week, Al Gore and the Alliance for Climate Protection kicked off a bipartisan, three-year and multifaceted effort to elevate the issue of climate change in America. The campaign is called We, short for We Can Solve the Climate Crisis, and Gore has promised to raise $300 million to fund the effort.

The first television spot titled “Anthem,” aims to place the climate crisis issue on par with other major obstacles that America has overcome, such as the second world war, civil rights and the moon landing. You can view the spot online here.

There are also plans for ads that feature political opposites, with one of the first featuring Al Sharpton on a couch with Pat Robertson. The ads will run on television, radio, online and in print. Television ads will soon appear on American Idol, House and Law & Order.

The campaign asks that you sign up and become involved.
