Another Space Debris Story as ISS Orbit Changed

Yet another space vehicle has been impacted by space debris. The ISS Space Station has been moved to a higher orbit during the weekend due to risks associated with debris, reports RIA Novosti.  The Chinese destroyed a satellite in 2007 with a ballistic missile test. Perhaps some of that debris is floating around?

Popular Science has an interesting article entitled 'Taking Out the Space Trash'.

Universe Today reports on the US test that destroyed the US Spy Satellite 193 and resulted in the tracking of 52 pieces of debris flying around in space.
